Two Months Old!

Sydney is Two Months Old!

Weight: 11 pounds, 4 ounces

Length: 22.5 inches

Head: 39 centimeters 

I swear, days are slipping away faster and faster all the time. Today we celebrate Sydney's two month birthday. It's hard to believe. She is such an important part of our daily lives now I have a hard time remembering what it was like before was born. This month held a little bit of drama for us, Sydney's surgery that was scheduled for December 8 had to be postponed because she was sick. Talk about a whirlwind of emotions for Mommy and Daddy. But, we learned early on that God is the ultimate Father of our kiddos and we need to trust Him and His timing. Easier said than done though!  

Sydney is in the 47th percentile for weight, the 50th percentile for height and the 71st percentile for head circumference.  

So Sydney, what are you up to at two months old?

• You are eating and sleeping great. Eating 7-8 times and day and sleeping a 5-7 hour stretch at night.
• You're getting big! You're already wearing 3 month clothes and size 1 diapers.
• You got sick for the first time this month with a yucky cough, congestion and low grade fever.
• You started smiling! It's so incredibility sweet I can't stand it. We just love talking to you and watching you respond to us with a huge smile on your face.  
• You drank your first bottle and did it without any problems at all.
• You like watching your sister and checking out what she's doing all the time.
• You're still sleeping in Mommy and Daddy's room. The plan was to transition you out after your surgery, but now that it's been postponed we may have to rethink that one.
• You are such a fun little girl. God really blessed us when he brought you into our family.
