Miss Cameron @ 28 Months

Oh Miss Cameron, our sweet, silly little girl. I feel like she's changing so much lately so I just wanted to take a quick snapshot of who she is at 28 months old.

A little about her personality:
Cameron is full of energy. She is constantly bouncing off the walls, running around and being crazy. But, she also has a quite side to her. She loves to sit on the couch and watch shows, read her books and work on art projects. She is very opinionated and doesn't hesitate to tell us exactly what she wants and when. Sometimes she can be very stubborn and headstrong, insisting on getting her way. She can be very sweet giving hugs and kisses to us, her sister and her friends. She is LOUD! She likes to scream and make sure that we can hear her. She seems like a very well rounded little girl so far. It will be interesting to see what things/activities she gravitates towards as she continues to grow.

Favorite things to say:

• When she wants something that someone else has: "My turn!"
• When Ryan or I tell her that we love her: "I love you most Mommy/Daddy"
• She is so used to me telling her that Daddy is at work that one day she decided she was going to go to work too. Now it's kind of a regular thing: "Bye Mommy, I go to work now." "I work Daddy" 
• Cameron loves her Daddy, and sometimes she is really sad he's at work: "Daddy no work no more."
• She has been really interested in trains lately and loves when we get to drive over the track in the car, so every time we get into the car she says: "Choo choo train tracks Mommy?"
• After I get Sydney up from a nap:  "Mommy, Sydney's waking up. Sydney's awake!"  
• We hear this one a lot: "I do it myself."
• When she catches a ball or accomplishes something she's excited about: "I did it Mommy!"
• When she's doing something goofy: "Look at me Mommy, Look at me!"
• When she's jumping aorund all over the place: "I bounce like Tigger Mommy!" (Just like her Aunt Annie!)

Favorite things to do:

• Play at the park: We have the yellow park and the blue park in our neighborhood, the red park at Superpop and Granne's house, Mimi's park, the train park...she loves them all, and she has no fear either!
• Run: She loves to run, anywhere. The park, around the pool (of course), up and down our street. It's pretty impressive how far she'll go too.  
• Dance: It's so funny because she always wants Ryan and I to dance with her...and we are NOT super spectacular dancers. But we do our best.
• Color: Cameron loves to color and draw pictures. Most recently she's started taking "notes" in notebooks (and on herself sometimes).
• Paint: Like her Daddy, Cameron is a little artist. She is very focused when she's painting and she always has a lot of fun.
• Hit/throw/kick balls: From what we can tell, Cameron's going to be an athlete. She is very coordinated, is great at kicking the soccer ball and has a pretty good little arm. Her favorite thing to do a Papa and Mimi's house is hit golf balls in the basement (she uses a ping pong paddle, but still).
• Swim: This summer we've been going to the pool quite a bit and Cameron loves it. She's a little fish and never wants to get out of the water. She's starting to get more comfortable with putting her face under and kicking. I signed her up for some swim lessons so we'll have to see how that goes.  
• Sing: It is so sweet to hear Cameron's little voice when she sings. At night before she goes to bed we sing Holy Holy Holy, Jesus Loves Me and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. She knows almost all the words now. She's also memorized one of our Veggie Tales CDs and sings along in the car.     
• Play with her friends: Cameron has a few little friends that she loves to play with. It is so cute when she ask if she can play with her friends.
• Read books: It's not uncommon to walk into her room and find every single book on the floor.  
• Count: She's mastered 1-10, and we're working on getting to 15 now.
• Play with Sydney in the crib: She loves to get in after Sydney's naps and we sing 10 Little Monkeys Jumping on the Bed.
• Wear band-aids: She is becoming more and more aware of her owies and always wants to put band-aids on.

Favorite shows/movies: Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Bernstein Bears, Pixar movies, Shrek, Curious George, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Favorite things to eat/drink: Noodles, Grapes, Blueberries, String Cheese, Goldfish Crackers, Chocolate Milk, Juice, Ranch "dip", Meat, Popsicles.

Favorite things to wear: Dresses and Skirts, period.

Things she's afraid of: Bugs, she's had a few dreams about "Pirates in Mommy's house" that have scared her a little bit (must be from Jake and the Neverland Pirates, which is not scary at all, who knows).
Favorite books: Clifford, Curious George, Knuffle Bunny (we go to the library and get new books a lot)
