Sydney Does Vegas

I took a quick overnight trip to Vegas this week to scout some venues for a party that my company is throwing in June. Sydney went with me on the trip and Cameron stayed home with Daddy.

It was Sydney's first time on an airplane and she was a pretty good little traveler. She got overly tired on the way home and cried for awhile on the plane during boarding and take off, but she eventually conked out and slept really well for the rest of the flight. Other than that she was a little trooper. I carried her around in the baby bjorn everywhere we went and she just took it all in. Unfortunately, it was such a short trip we didn't really get to do much sight seeing. But we did get to eat at Bahama Breeze, visit a chocolate shop where I had a $2 chocolate truffle that was delish, and walk through a few of the hotels. Nothing too exciting, but not too bad for a little over 24 hours.

All the logistics worked out perfectly. Granne and Superpop were in Vegas too, so Granne was able to watch Sydney while my dad and I worked. And Aunt Jenna came up to spend the day with Cameron while Ryan was at work. From what I hear, Cameron and Aunt Jenna had a lot of fun. They had a tea party, went to the park, colored, watched "mouse"...pretty much Cameron's dream day!

Sydney and I didn't get home until 1am this morning, so we were both pretty tuckered out and glad to be home. I think Ryan and Cameron were glad to have us back home too. :)

The one thing I learned on this trip...I definitely need a big old "mom bag" as a carry on next time I travel. The bag I had could barely handle the stuff I had for one kid...with two things would be getting a little out of control! Oh the joys of being a Mommy. :)

Fun! Awesome that family was able to help out everywhere. And I can't help but notice Sydney's chubby cheeks in the last picture and it made me think about how our toddlers are losing their baby fat cheeks!:( but glad our little girls are filling the void, haha!
Thanks for your comments on my "stuff" post. The night after we got my new lens, we ( thomas) prayed that I could use it in a way that glorifies the Lord. I have no idea what that would look like but I'm excited to see it play out. Annnd I'm still keeping my eye out for a jogger, come summer time treadmill running in the garage will be waaay too hot!!
