Five Months Old!

Sydney's Five Months Old!

This post is a little late. I ran out of time to get it up before we left for Hawaii (more vacation updates to come). So here's the latest update on Miss Sydney, our sweet five month old. She is getting big and we're really starting to see her personality come out which is so much fun. Sydney doesn't have a five month check up, so I'm not positive about her measurements, but I'm guessing she weighs close to 16 pounds and is landing right around the 50 percentile for her overall size. 

So Sydney, what are you up to at five months old? 

• You are still a great sleeper. At night you sleep from about 8:30 or 9:00pm all the way until around 7:30am. Your naps are much more consistent now. On a normal day you'll take three naps at 9:00am, noon and then again at 3:30 or 4:00pm. 
• You usually eat 5 times a day—7:30am, 11:00am, 2:30pm, 6:00pm and 8:30pm. We haven't started solids yet but plan to do so in the next couple of weeks.
• You took your first airplane trip this past month, you went with me on a quick overnight trip to Las Vegas (for work). Overall you did really well.    
• You love to rollover from your back to your tummy, but you haven't quite figured out how to roll back the other way yet.
• You've recently started sleeping on your tummy. You break out of your swaddle and turn over all by yourself.
• You are still wearing 6 month clothes and size 2 diapers, but we are getting ready to move to size 3 any day now. As soon as we use up the rest of the size 2's that we have.
• You LOVE watching your big sister and laugh at her when she's being silly.
• You are my little cuddler, you like to be held or carried in the Baby Bjorn.
• You are a big talker. Everyone comments on it. It seems like you're actually trying to say words and not just cooing anymore.
• You love swimming and splashing in the water. I have a feeling you're going to have a lot of fun this summer.
• You are a HUGE smiler! Not just little smiles, but big smiles that light up your entire face. It's absolutely darling and can brighten up anyone's day.
• You really like your jumpy chair and you're quite the little jumper.
• Sydney, you are such a special little girl. I just love to squeeze you and kiss your cute little cheeks. You are so happy and so sweet. Your daddy and I love watching you grow and change. We love you sweet pea!
