Recently, Jessie has been working with the Deaf community in her area to help them launch a micro enterprise selling handcrafted crosses and jewelry. Making these items gives the artists a way to work themselves out of poverty and provide for Deaf programs in Honduras. Jessie has found a few people to help with distributing these items, and she has an Etsy shop, but those avenues can only take them so far. She is continuing to explore other avenues for selling these items and had the idea of asking people to host jewelry parties.
So, at the end of April I hosted a Signs of Love jewelry (the first I think!) for my friends and wonderful family. It was so much fun and I learned so much more about the signs of love organization, and scored some really fun jewelry!
If you're interested in checking some of the jewelry out, take a look at the Signs of Love Etsy Shop. It's really fun stuff and is supporting a great organization!
