Five Months Old!

Cameron is Five Months Old!

We were on vacation in Lake Tahoe this week, so this month's picture was actually taken a few days early. Cameron's next doctors appointment isn't until she's six months old, so I had to take her measurements myself this time around. She is in the 30th percentile for weight, 80th percentile for length and 40th percentile for head circumference. I'm kind of thinking that the nurse made a mistake measuring her length at our last appointment because I was pushing it to get 26 inches when I measured her length this time. Who knows, maybe I'm doing it wrong. Never the less, we still have a long and skinny little girl!

So Cameron, what are you up to at five months old?

• You found your feet this month. You love to grab a hold of them with your hands. Now I can see where the name for the yoga pose "happy baby" came from.
• You love to stand up. Whenever we've holding you, you push up so you can be on your feet.
• You wear a size 2 diaper now and mostly 3-6 month and 6 month size clothes.
• You are quite the little swimmer. You absolutely love the water. When we take you to to the pool you love kicking and splashing.
• You took another couple of plane rides this month. One to Minneapolis, Minnesota and another one to Reno, Nevada. For the most part you are a great flyer.
• We don't swaddle you when you sleep anymore. You've graduated to a sleep sack.
• You started taking baths in the big bath tub and you love it. I always leave some extra time so you can splash around.
• You went to your first wedding this month and you made it through the entire service without us having to take you out.
• You are super smiley and you giggle all the time.
• You love to talk back when we talk to you (the good kind of talking back), it's really fun.
• You are very observant and always learning by watching the things around you.
• You truly are a joy. Your daddy and I have so much fun hanging out with you every single day.
