Volk Family Pictures

Corrie took pictures of the whole Volk family when Nick and Annie were home in June. They turned out AWESOME! Seriously, Corrie is a fantastic photographer. If you're in the Longmont area and need some pictures taken, definetnly check out her website. Here are a few of my favorites:

There are a whole bunch more pictures, but I did't want to overwhelm you all. :-)

The First Haircut

Cameron got her first haircut on Sunday. Her hair was getting really long on the top so I figured we'd trim it up and even things out. Since I've never cut hair before, Grammy came over and helped us out. I made sure to pay attention, so MAYBE next time I'll be brave enough to do it myself (we'll see, I'm a little scared of messing it up!)

We didn't take a lot off, so there isn't too much of a difference. But it does look a lot cleaner now. I'm hoping that the cut helps it to start growing in thicker and faster. Who knows that may be an old wives tale, but I'm going with it.

We haven't had too much else going on since we got home from Tahoe. Mostly just getting into the swing of things again. We went to Ryan's company picnic on Friday afternoon which was really nice. Since I'm not working full time anymore I get to partake in these sorts of events which is awesome!

Last night we went to the Rockies game with some friends. We decided to leave Cameron at home this time. She had fun at Grammy and Grandpa's house, and it was nice that we got to have some adult time.

That's pretty much it, here are a few other pictures and videos from the last few days:

Before church, Cameron was very interested in the ground for some reason. I just think her dress is cute so I decided to post the picture even though she wasn't looking.

Miss Cameron playing around on the floor.
She is scooching around like crazy now so I have to keep a close eye on her.

I just thought this video of Cameron laughing was kind of cute. Please excuse my dorkiness...the things you do to make your kiddo laugh.

This video shows some of the new things Cameron has been doing lately. She's been saying "da da da da", but I'm not giving Ryan credit for her first word quite yet. I think she should actualy know what she's saying before it counts. HA She's also been pulling her knees up under her. We may have a little crawler before too long!

Lake Tahoe

We had a wonderful time with my family in Lake Tahoe last week. We absolutely love going to Tahoe. I have vacationed there since I was a kid and Ryan and I honeymooned there when we got married, so we have a lot of great memories from Tahoe. Rather than give you a play by play of our trip, I thought I'd post a whole bunch of pictures and let them do the talking.

Miss Cameron hanging out with Grandma.

Our family squished onto one chair in our condo!

Cameron is moving around all over the place now. This day she managed to scoot right under my chair.

Cameron showing off her cool shades.

My parents celebrated their 33 wedding anniversary on July 16. My dad had flowers delivered for my mom so we decided to take a few pictures of Cameron with the flowers and say hi to her Great Grandma and Grandpa Summers in New Jersey.

We went on a short boat ride to another part of the lake for lunch and some beach time. It was Cameron's first time on a boat!

Even though the lake is freezing cold, Cameron stuck her feet in... and she didn't fuss!

Cameron had fun playing on the beach. Those rings are awesome! She loves them and they're small so we can take them anywhere.

Sleeping on the beach.

Our attempt at shading Cameron from the sun while she was sleeping.

We spent quite a bit of time at the pool. Cameron loves to swim!

Amy, one of my bestest friends from college, happened to be in Lake Tahoe with her family last week too. She came over and hung out at the pool with us and got to meet Cameron for the first time.

Lake Tahoe at sunset, isn't it beautiful?

Jenna took this picture and we thought it was hilarious...Ryan's head is missing!

Oh yes...me.

I have the best husband in the whole world!!

Superpop with the girls

After we watched the sunset at the beach we went to this cool 50's style diner for ice cream. Ryan and I got a HUGE sundae and split it. It was really yummy. Cameron liked playing with the spoon.

July 13, 2010, Cameron's 5 month birthday.

What is it that they say about daddy's being wrapped around their little girl's finger?

Cameron is taking baths in the big bath tub now.

We went to the park and Cameron and I went down the slide.

Fun at the pool

Don't worry, she wasn't actually drinking the beer! She just loves sucking and chewing on things right now and she kept going for this beer that Superpop was drinking. It was pretty funny.

Jenna got this t-shirt for Cameron when she was vacationing in Florida a few months ago.

We had a great time. I was sad to leave, but we get to spend the rest of the summer at home and that's going to be a lot of fun too!
