Jumping Chair

We got out Cameron's Jenny Jump Up chair this week and let her try it out. She's still kind of little for it so I had to stuff some blankets in the chair to help support her, but she seems to really like it! She likes chewing on the chain too. :-)

Swimming

We went to the pool late Sunday afternoon to wrap up our fun filled week of activities. Cameron is really starting to turn into a little fish, she hung out in the pool for probably a good half hour before we pulled her out to warm her up.

Nick, Annie and Cole headed back to Texas early Monday morning. We were sad they had to leave. It's just so much fun having them here. At least we get to see them again in a few days, we are all going up to Minnesota for a wedding next weekend.

Rockies Game

On Wednesday night we headed down to Denver to watch the Rockies play the Red Sox. It was a beautiful night and the Rockies pulled out an awesome win in the bottom of the 9th, so we had a great time.

Cameron seemed to enjoy the whole ballpark experience. She even managed to take a little snooze while we were there (which I have no idea how she managed because we had the loudest woman in the history of mankind sitting behind us. No joke she was LOUD!). The only thing Cameron wasn't a huge fan of was all the noise when everyone started to get excited when the Rockies rallied at the very end of the game. She got a little upset and I had to take her out of the stands so it wasn't quite as loud for her. Other than that she did great.

Play Time

Wednesday morning Annie, Cole, Cameron and I went on a walk with Brianne, Mikaela and Mason. After we played at their house for a little while. Cameron tested out Masons jumpy exersaucer thingy and loved it. I have to figure out where to get one for her.

Zoo Day

Nick, Annie and Cole have been here all week so we decided to have a little "staycation" and make it a point to do some fun things throughout the week. Monday we went to the Denver Zoo. It was really fun. Cameron was a great little zoo visitor. She had no idea what was going on of course, but it was fun anyway. Cole was a little sleepy when we first got to the zoo so it took him a little bit to warm up to the idea of being there. But he got into it after awhile and had a good time.

After the zoo we went to a pizza restaurant in Denver for lunch. Annie and I were laughing about how much our lives have changed in the past few years. I think the days of just sitting down and visiting over lunch are long gone!

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day Daddy!

On Sunday, I was still not feeling very well, but miss Cameron and I were able to do a little something special for her wonderful daddy anyway. We made him a sign and got him Rockies tickets for a game in July. She dressed up for the occasion too, notice the Rockies outfit!

We are truly blessed by what a wonderful man Ryan is. It has been amazing to watching him step into the role of being Cameron's daddy these last few months. He is a natural. We love you Ryan!

She was more excited about eating the sign than anything else!

Baptism

We had Cameron's Baptism last Saturday at a nearby park in Longmont. Father Gerry, the priest that married Ryan and I, conducted the service for us, it was really nice.

I wasn't feeling very well Saturday morning. I didn't even think I was going to be able to make it to the park. But with a few Tylenol and a little bit of prayer I was able to rally and make it through the event. As soon as we got home I immediately went upstairs and crashed for the rest of the day. Ryan was awesome and took care of cleaning up everything for me. What a wonderful husband I have been blessed with!

Go Go Gadget Arms

I realized a few days ago that I can't just leave things sitting in front of Cameron anymore...she is reaching and grabbing like crazy now! This video is from last week. Notice how she turned herself around in her chair, very sneaky. This was right after she knocked over that glass of water sitting in front of her. Ooops, that was totally my fault. I didn't think there was any way she'd be able to reach it!

We've had a lot of exciting stuff going on the last few days, but unfortunately, I've also been sick. It has been horrible. Honestly, I'm hardly ever sick. Maybe once a year I'll get a cold, or something pretty small like that. I was never once sick while I was pregnant. Well, now I've had the flu twice in the last two months.

Have any of you other mommies had this problem while you've been breastfeeding? I'm wondering if I'm wearing myself down too much. What do you think? I know nursing takes a lot out of you, could I be over doing it with everything else?

Speaking of which, I should probably be getting to bed. I'll update you on our other recent happenings ASAP.

Cameron's Room

It took us a little while, but we've finally gotten Cameron's room all set up. I love how it turned out, girly, but not too girly (which was one of daddy's requirements! ha). I've been meaning to post pictures for awhile, but it just got around to it today. Enjoy the tour!

(I am such a huge nerd! Remind me not to go into acting.)

Four Months Old!

Cameron is Four Months Old!

June 13, 2010
Weight: 12 pounds, 5 ounces
Length: 26 inches
Head: 40.5 centimeters

Cameron is getting to be such a big girl! Her four month appointment was on Friday and she got another great report. The doctor said she is very healthy and that her motor skills are very advanced for being only four months old. She is in the 25th percentile for her weight, the 97th percentile for her length and the 45th percentile for her head circumference. Basically we have a long and skinny little girl!

So Cameron, what are you up to at four months old?

  • You learned to roll over this month. You roll from you back to your tummy all the time, but you haven't quite mastered rolling from your tummy to your back yet. You've only done that a few times.
  • You are extremely talkative and very loud sometimes. You just like to make sure that we don't forget about you. :-)
  • You took your second plane ride this month and visited a new state, Nevada.
  • You are still sleeping about 10 hours every night and eating 5 times each day.
  • You went for your first swim in the pool this month. You were completely amazed by all the water.
  • You are still a really good baby. The only time you will fuss is when you're getting sleepy.
  • You are wearing 3-6 month clothes and are in a size 1-2 diaper.
  • You drool like crazy and love to chew on things--your hands, our hands, pacifiers, burp clothes, your clothes, teething rings, pretty much anything that you can get your hands on.
  • You can grab onto and hold toys in your hands now.
  • You are very interested in watching what's happening around you and listening to "grown up" conversations.
  • You really like to spend time on your tummy.
  • You are a big wiggle worm and we have to be very careful leaving you on elevated surfaces unattended.
  • You are a very happy baby and we love hanging out with you.

Las Vegas

I think I mentioned this before, but about a month ago I started working part time for my dad's company helping them with some marketing related "stuff". This past week was the big industry trade show in Las Vegas, so Cameron and I flew out to attend the show. Well actually, I attended the show, Cameron got to hang out with Grandma all week!

Grandma and Cameron, it was a little windy out

What a big girl, she's big enough to face outward in her baby bjorn now

It ended up working out great, my mom was already planning on going on the trip with my dad, so when we started talking about me going too, everything just sort of fell into place. My mom watched Cameron while my dad and I worked and then I watched Cameron while my mom and dad went out and partied! HA

I'm only partly serious about the partying part. The truth is that they just went to check out all the big trade show parties. Some companies go all out and spend a whole bunch of money on these things, so it's definitely worth stopping by to see what all the hype is about.

I managed to get some play time in too. The most notable activity, we took Cameron for her first dip in the pool! It was so funny, she didn't really react much, she was just completely mesmerized by all the water.

We didn't have much time to walk around on the strip, but we did get to check out a few places.

We went to dinner on Thursday night and Cameron got a hold of this piece of celery. It was so funny!

We flew home yesterday. Ryan picked us up from the airport and brought us home. It was really good to see him. We missed him! Then yesterday afternoon I took Cameron to her 4 month doctors appointment. Stay tuned for little peanut's 4 month update...
